About me
Hi, this is Isaac, a 40 years old Iceland lover from Catalonia. I fancy hiking in wonderful natural places, food and photography.
I am currently working as a travel agent at Viatges Viñolas, a family run travel agency where I have been employed for the last 14 years.
I had heard a lot about Iceland, but I did not fell in love with it until 2015, after camping around the island for 3 weeks. It was a once in a lifetime trip that helped me design unique itineraries for my costumers at the travel agency during all these years, while improving my connections with local companies.
I’ve been lucky enough to return to Iceland, trying different routes, visiting again those local activity suppliers, getting new acquaintances.
But with every satisfied costumer, with every day spent travelling around Iceland, I felt it was not enough. That I could use my experience and knowledge to inspire others to visit the land of ice and fire. To help people around the world who want to plan their trip to Iceland on their own, but don’t know where to start or don’t have the time needed to do it properly.
On IcelandSecrets.com you will find tips and recommendations on how to design your itinerary, what not to forget, lists of equipment you will need, etc. All based only in my personal experience as a travel agent and fellow traveller.
This project is just starting in February 2025 and I will be uplading new content regularly, when my main job and personal life allow me.
You can also hire me to design a tailor-made itinerary adapted to your needs, days available, season and size of your party.
On this website you will find affiliate links to products and services, that will help this project grow if you buy or book after clicking on them. But I only recommend services that I have either used myself or previously sold to my travel agency customers all these years, with very positive feedback.
Most photographs on this site are taken by myself or my travel companions during my trips to Iceland.
